In partnership with WaterTower Music, Waxwork Records is thrilled to release Interstellar: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Hans Zimmer. Interstellar is a 2014 science fiction film directed by Christopher Nolan. The film score is composed by Hans Zimmer, who previously scored Nolan's Batmanfilm trilogy and Inception. Tremendously popular several years after its initial release, the Interstellar: Expanded Edition features music from the film by Zimmer, and is available as a deluxe 4xLP with a special etching. The Expanded Edition features additional music that was not available on the standard CD and digital releases of the original soundtrack.

The 2014 epic science fiction film Interstellar was directed by Christopher Nolan and starred Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastainand Michael Caine. The film depicts a crew of astronauts forced to travel through a wormhole in search of a new home for humankind after the Earth regresses into a failing agrarian society after a blight infects the crops.

Pulsing with slow-building rhythms, subtle strings, tinkling pianos, and echoing pipe organ, Zimmer's Interstellar score takes a decidedly atmospheric bent... contains classic sci-fi themes of wonder and enchantment befitting a tale that pits mankind against the great unknown.

Hans Zimmer is a German film score composer and music producer. He has won two Oscars, four Grammys, and has been nominated for three Emmysand a Tony. Zimmer was also named one of the Top 100 Living Geniuses, published by the Daily Telegraph in 2007. His works are notable for integrating electronic music with traditional orchestral arrangements. Since the 1980s, Zimmer has composed music for over 150 films. He has won two Academy Awards for Best Original Score for The Lions King(1994) and Dune (2021). His works include Gladiator, The Last Samurai, The Pirates of the Caribbean series, the Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Interstellar, No Time to Die, and the Dune series.
