WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?
All orders will be shipped within 48 hours of receipt of payment, most same day but obviously longer on weekends.
Preorders will be shipped as soon as possible upon receipt to us to try to make sure you get as close to release date as possible. Any items bought with a preorder will be held until the preorder arrives.
HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?
We have free media mail shipping for orders over $75, other orders or expedited shipping is calculated in the cart based on your location. We charge the actual shipping rate we pay through each provider. There are no extra handling fees.
WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER?
If you've chose local pickup as your delivery method, our current pickup hours are 12-6 PM, Monday through Saturday or Sunday 1-6 PM. Generally orders are ready within an hour during regular business hours. You will receive a notification via email or text when your order is ready for pickup.
WHY WAS I REFUNDED OR PARTIALLY REFUNDED?
Please feel free to contact us if this happens but it's usually because we sold out of something before the sync between our store and website occured each day or we simply can't find the item. Things go missing, get stolen, misfiled, etc.
WHAT DO THESE WEIRD CODES IN THE TITLES MEAN?
The database provider we use has several internal codes that we are working on making easier to read, but in the meantime here is a partial key:
COLV or CVNL = colored vinyl
OGV = 180 gram vinyl
OFV = 150 gram vinyl
TGV = 200 gram vinyl
VV = virgin vinyl
GATE = gatefold sleeve
PIC DISC or PICT = picture disc vinyl
IEX = indie store exclusive release
WSV = with 7", meaning includes bonus 7" vinyl
WTWV = with 12", aka includes bonus 12" vinyl
DLCD = includes download code
RSD or BF or REX = Record Store Day or RSD Black Friday limited release - see release date info for what year
DIG = digipak CD
LTD = limited
POST = poster included
WB = with booklet
HFSM = Half Speed Master
RMST = remastered
MOD = manufactured on demand

SO YOU ONLY SELL RECORDS?
??? where do people come up with these questions? we dream that such a store would be possible in Charlotte, but we're not crazy either. we have thousands of CDs, lots of music DVDs, thousands of records, plus turntables, speakers, needles and more. we sell them all new & used.
DO YOU BUY CDS/LPS/DVDS/TAPES/78S/45S/ETC.?
we buy used LPs, 7"s, 10"s, tapes, CDs, music DVDs, and stereo equipment. we don't buy 78s. we pay the most for your LPs & 7"s especially. if you sell them to the giant fake indie store you're probably getting ripped off.
WELL YOU WOULDN'T WANT WHAT I'M SELLING ANYWAY....
please do not assume this. we probably aren't 1/10th as picky as you think. nothing hurts worse than hearing that your own friends sold their stuff to some other store and got ripped off because they thought we wouldn't want it.
YOU DON'T HAVE WHAT I WANT, CAN YOU GET IT?
99% of the time, yes! we are small and obviously cannot stock everything, but we can special order loads and loads of things, including vinyl. because we are a small nimble company, we can order lots of things that the other places in town can't. if you want me to stock something when it comes out, just let me know. if you don't ask, I can't read your mind. please ask.
ARE YOUR SHOWS ALL AGES?
yes. all shows are and always will be all ages. music is for everyone and should be enjoyed by everyone. sadly, there aren't many all ages places in Charlotte.
CAN I DRINK/SMOKE/SHOOT UP/SNORT LINES AT YOUR SHOWS?
no. see above. we're not a club. we have shows so that bands can play somewhere that people who have day jobs, children, etc. can come and enjoy things and check out things for free/cheap. hopefully then people will see that Charlotte actually has a lot of good bands and will then go pay to see them again at a club where you can smoke & drink all you want & everyone wins.
WHERE'S YOUR PARKING LOT?
we have a large parking lot in front of the building. please do not park next door in the gravel lot as they don't like that. there is on-street parking available on Piedmont St. and Cross Trail Drive as well if our lot is full
