This album is made possible in part, with funding from the Arts & Science Council’s Creative Renewal Fellowship awarded to Tony Arreaza, Ultimanota’s guitarist and album producer.

The album was produced and recorded by guitarist Tony Arreaza over the past 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the featured musicians are Brazilian guitarist/singer Reinaldo Brahn, Orquesta Mayor director Helder Serralde, acoustic duo Café Amaretto, pioneer Latin ska/reggae band Bakalao Stars and many more.

Formed in 2009, with members hailing from Venezuela, Mexico, El Salvador and Dominican Republic, UltimaNota is known for its blend of tropical rhythms with a modern twist.

The album’s single, "Mi Sueño" which translates to "My Dream," is a tribute to immigrants -- young and old -- who have made incredible sacrifices to come to this country and build up our city, but often have to live in the shadows due to our broken immigration system. The song also includes a video, inspired by true events, which tells the stories of four different individuals who came to this country in search for opportunity and the obstacles they've faced.
