Janis Joplin (1943-1970) was one of the most popular rock blues musicians in the world. Alongside Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison, Joplin was one of the central symbols of the hippie era and hippie culture. All three shaped a lifestyle that was later described as “Sex,
