Chris: “It’s got the R&B vibes. There are some reggae easter eggs too. I was staying at this house in Nashville, and the doors were open. I heard this frog, so I recorded him. You’ve got my ‘Nashville rasta frog’ on the solo. It’s definitely super funk-driven.”
Rich: “‘It’s Like That’ was one of the earlier songs, and it was so fucking big. In a sense, the track wrote itself and flowed easily. I like the way the background vocals are placed and how Chris sings along.”
Fresh off the GRAMMY-nominated success of Happiness Bastards (2024), Chris and Rich Robinson wasted no time getting back to work. In early 2025, the brothers returned to Nashville to reunite with producer Jay Joyce and recapture the spark that powered their last record. This is the result.
