The five members of El Mató a Un Policía Motorizado are from La Plata, not far from Buenos Aires, in Argentina. The band’s music conjures melodic noise rock reminiscent of Pavement and Guided by Voices – but so much their own sound. The Argentine band’s critically-acclaimed U.S. debut “La Dinastía Scorpio” is full of intricately crafted melodies and profound-yet-simple lyrics that range from confrontational politics to the perils of love. The album was named one of Rolling Stone Mexico’s best albums of the year and also landed the band a Rolling Stone cover in Argentina. The album was followed up by the EP “Violencia”, a precursor to this latest full-length release “La Síntesis O’Konor”. El Mato have played in big festivals around the U.S. and Latin America including the LAMC, Supersonico, SXSW, Vive Latino, Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Porão do Rock in Brasilia, Indie Fest in Rio and many others
