A Poetic Quest for the Soul in the Digital Age
Benoît de Villeneuve, known as Villeneuve, is a French musician, composer, and producer who has carved out a unique space within contemporary music. Since launching his career in Paris in the 2000s, he has traversed a wide range of musical styles, from indie rock to ambient electronic and film scores. His work, characterized by a subtle blend of electronic music, cinematic soundscapes, and introspective poetry, explores the blurred lines between humanity and technology, between the organic past and the digital future.
Villeneuve has always been a sonic explorer, a self-taught artist driven by a desire to capture deep emotions and dreamlike atmospheres through his compositions. His previous albums laid the groundwork for an aesthetic in which synthesizers merge with acoustic instruments, programmed beats and live drums coexisting alongside rich, evocative sound textures. However, it is with his latest album, Soul Tuning, that Villeneuve pushes even further in his exploration of the human soul in a world undergoing radical transformation.
