And while San Diego's Sparkler may refer to themselves as "sonically ambiguous shoegaze," there's undoubtedly a strong undercurrent of the psychedelic trailing throughout Big Sonic Chill. The easy comparison to draw is to My Bloody Valentine at their most lysergic, and it's no doubt an apt one.
