Since the mid seventies, Jeffrey Osborne has been at the top of his game. His voice unlike others, has made massive hit records with his first band L.T.D., and later morphed into one the most successful solo careers in our industry. His career has lasted now for decades, his fans continually grow every year thanks to the plethora of hit albums, singles and regular concert appearances where he still headlines to this day.
In 1997, he teamed up with his friends like the late George Duke (Frank Zappa/Stanley Clarke/Al Jarreau) and recorded “Something Warm For Christmas.” The perennial holiday favorite featured a plethora of Christmas standards like “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” “The Christmas Song” “O Holy Night” and a great tribute to the Charlie Brown holiday classic “Christmas Time Is Here”, which features one of the Jeffrey’s finest vocals ever.
Friday Music is no stranger to the great artistry of Jeffrey Osborne, therefore we are very pleased to revisit the vinyl release of his holiday classic “Something Warm For Christmas.”
Produced by Jeffrey Osborne and George Duke and Mastered impeccably by Joe Reagoso (Al Jarreau/Johnny Mathis) from the Melody LP recordings, the “Something Warm For Christmas” will be a pleasant surprise to many this holiday gift giving season and beyond.
