The Absence is an American melodic death metal band from Tampa, Florida. Their style has been described as aggressive thrash metal with Scandinavian metal influences. They were previously signed to Metal Blade Records and M-Theory Audio.
M-Theory Audio are proud to reissue their classic 2007 album ‘Riders of the Plague’ on a limited edition (300 copies) Tigers Eye colored vinyl. This release will be the first time ‘Riders of the Plague’ will be available on vinyl. Produced by Jonas Kjellgren (Dark Funeral, Immortal, Hypocrisy) and featuring guest guitarists Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry), James Murphy (Obituary, Death) and Santiago Dobles ( Cynic, Pestilence), this special release is a must have for any fan of melodic death metal.
