TITO RAMÍREZ is one of the most controversial artists from the past few years of the Spanish Mambo, Boogaloo and R&B scene. Now he is releasing his second album “El Prince”. In 2016, Discos Antifaz releases to the world a single with two songs by an artist named Tito Ramírez, without giving more information about him. Soon, a rumor started spreading that the single is a lost unpublished record from the 60s. No one finds any information about the artist, and the single sold out in just 4 days after its release. The single breaks out into the dance floors of the best Soul, R&B and Popcorn clubs around the world, especially in Belgium and England, where “Lonely Man” is the hit that everyone likes to dance. The demand for the record by collectors and DJs is so high that with a few weeks of running out of stock, copies worth about 300€ were already sold in the second-hand market. Thus, the single ends up becoming a classic for a new generation, being named by the Pow Bow Club in London as “The record of the decade”. Shortly after the release of these mysterious songs, Discos Antifaz, announces one night show by the enigmatic artist in Madrid. After the sold out, and to surprise of the audience, they realize that masked Tito Ramírez is not an old glory, but a current artist, with his own repertoire and an amazing show. In his concerts we can listen to an energetic repertoire of Boogaloo, Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Mambo, or Cha Cha Chá. Something like a mix between James Brown and Perez Prado. After 5 singles and one LP published, the long-awaited second full-length album by Tito Ramírez finally arrives, entitled “El Prince”. Your most excellent perversity returns to conquer the throne of its own sound universe, deepening and expanding its aesthetic range with new sounds and rhythms. Tito Ramirez's rhythmic and stylistic melting pot is broad and encompasses Latin music in its different facets, with Afro-American and Anglo-Saxon rhythms, as he has shown with the two advances: “Culpable (Guilty Was The Bugaloop)” y “Pal Barrio”. An already legendary album before its release, which surely should not be missing in your library.
