A collection of eight crushing hardcore punk explosions of cataclysmic magnitude. Recorded and mixed in the Fall of 2021 by the band’s own Alex Jacobelli at Sunsick Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright of Audioseige. ECHO PLANET is the sonic document of a psychosis unraveling in the midst of a world in flames. From pummeling mid tempo drive, frantic upbeat gallop, and slow burning grooves that punctuate a consistently intense string section of guitarist Alex Jacobelli and bassist Pat Callaway, the NEGATIVE BLAST ensemble displays a skilled versatility that not only pays tribute to the sounds that preceded them, but paves the way for sonic landscapes yet to be explored. The impenetrable wall of noise present throughout the record is the perfect backdrop for vocalist Rain Pesebre to deliver poignantly chaotic lines tinged with melody hidden beneath television static-like screams that demand your attention. In spite of the nihilistic atmospheres present throughout the record, ECHO PLANET asserts the possibility of victory over the Sisyphean challenges that plague all aspects of the human experience.
