Rumer returns with her second collection of B Sides and Rarities, released 22nd April on Cooking Vinyl. The album features previously unheard and unreleased gems like 'Roses', as well as various cover versions, including Elton John's 'Mona Losas Mad Hatters'.
Award-winning British vocalist and songwriter, Rumer is to release a new album B Sides and Rarities Vol. 2 on April 22 2022 via Cooking Vinyl. The long-awaited follow-up to 2015’s B Sides and Rarities Vol. 1, Vol. 2 is a treasure trove of rarities.
“Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters” by Elton John and Bernie Taupin is an outtake from 2011’s homage to 70’s male singer songwriters Boys Don’t Cry. Recorded during a ‘no expense spared’, high budget session at RAK studio 1 with London’s finest musicians, Rumer commented: “It was at the end of the sessions and I was tired, I knew it was good, but I was just done for the day, I just couldn’t get it over the finish line.” More than 10 years later, she has dug out those files and it is one of the highlights of the new compilation.
